Winter is nearly over and spring is almost here. At this time our body needs energy fighting the spring fever. This is the perfect time for smoothies which are real energyboosters. Today I want to share some of my favorite healthy vitamine packed recipes with you. They are perfect for people who enjoy smoothies for breakfast or taking them to work. I’ll also give you some tips for the new Smoothie Maker to Go.

Avocado Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients (for two servings)

2 avocados

3 small apples

150 ml orange juice

1 orange

1 tsp lemon juice

for garnish:

1 tsp goji beeries

½ tsp shredded coconut

1 tbsp almonds

Preparations:

Peel the avocado and orange and cut them into pieces. Remove apple cores and cut into pieces as well. Put the avocado and the fruits in the Smoothie Maker and fill up with orange and lemon juice. Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Put the smoothie in a bowl (z. B: Steingut von Westwing.de) and top off with shredded coconut, almonds and goji beeries.

Tip: If you want to have a less thick consistency use 300 ml orange juice.

The avocado smoothie bowl is served in a grey Steingut soup bowl á la Maison. In this bowl every dish from fruits salads, soups to smoothie bowls will look great.

If you prefer a more liquid smoothie there are 3 recipes which are fast to make and perfect for on the go.

Mango-pineapple smoothie, apple-pear smoothie and avocado-pear smoothie with buttermilk

Mango-pineapple smoothie

Ingredients (for 2 servings)

½ pineapple

½ mango

juice of half a lemon

200 ml orange juice

 

Preparations:

Peel pineapple and mango and cut into pieces. Put the fruits in the smoothie maker along with the lemon and orange juice and mix until smooth.

Apple-pear-smoothie

Ingredients (for two servings)

2 apples

2 pears

1 tsp honey

250 ml apple juice (unfiltered)

1 banana

Preparations:

Peel apples and pears, remove the cores and cut into pieces. Peel the banana and put all the fruits in the smoothie maker. Fill up with orange juice and sweeten with honey. Mix everything until well blended.

Avocado-pear smoothie with buttermilk

Ingredients (for two servings)

1 avocado

2 pears

250 ml buttermilk

juice of half a lemon

1 tsp honey

Preparations:

Peel the avocado and remove the cores from the pear and cut into cubes. Put the avocado and pear, together with the rest of the ingredients into the smoothie maker and mix until well blended.

You can substitute the mixer with a lid which is perfect for on the go. The base with 300 watt made of steel can be cleaned in the dish washer.
