Herring Salad Carinthian Style
Preparation
Peel the apples and cut into small pieces. Put out the herrings out of the jar and let them drain. Then cut into mouthsized pieces. Put the herring pieces and the apples in a bowl. Wash and chop the parsley. Add to the fish. Stir the mayonnaise with sour cream, lemon juice, white wine vinegar and horseradish until smooth. Season the salad with salt and pepper and mix with the Dressing. Let it rest in the fridge for 4-6 hours.
